To the parents...
So much has happened these last few days, new friends, new adventures, new sights and smells. The details are many and will be retold in countless ways.
Such an exciting time it is difficult to capture in words.
What has struck me the most is the love and respect shown each of us by the CCAA and the Ministry of Civil Affairs. They have opened their hearts, their offices, their homes to us in a remarkable way. They clearly love these girls and wanted for them a loving family.
Many of the staff were uncertain how the girls would feel about China and are so pleased to see them truly "embracing and feeling" China. And I think they are beginning to understand that the families in American have a deep and loving respect for China. And they are seeing that we planted the seeds of this respect for their birth country in each child. For this they are clearly appreciative.
I am certain you will hear many stories and as I am able, I will share more with you. Each of your girls is a delight in their own remarkable way. Thanks for sharing them with us and with China. I think you all would be proud.
