About The Gladney Fund
The Gladney Fund exists for the purpose of funding bright futures through adoption. We accomplish this goal by providing financial support for the Gladney Center for Adoption so that it can continue to place more than 300 children each year into loving families and continue to communicate the message of adoption as a loving way to build a family.

The Gladney Fund was founded in 1992. Ten years after its founding, The Gladney Fund had provided more than $11 million in philanthropic support to the Gladney Center and helped to build Gladney's endowment portfolio to more than $20 million. Most recently, our Building for Adoption campaign generated more than $17 million from Gladney families and friends, as well as foundations, in support of building the new Gladney campus.
Gladney opened its doors more than a century ago as one man's mission to find appropriate homes for children. Today, the Gladney Center for Adoption is an international leader in adoption services, placing more than 26,000 children in forever homes.

A genuine commitment to client service makes Gladney an exceptional adoption agency. We recognize that the needs of adoptive parents and adopted children differ. Each need is addressed individually through flexible, comprehensive programs administered by various professionals and experts in adoption matters.

For adoptive parents, we offer:

  • International and domestic adoption programs.
  • A caring and experienced social work staff.
  • Counseling and education about adoption.
  • Thorough and knowledgeable legal services.
  • Access to parent support groups nationwide.
  • Openness and flexibility in the adoption process.
  • Permanent maintenance of vital adoption records.
  • Parenting education.
  • Post adoption services.

Gladney in China

In March of 1994, Gladney's first internationally adopted child came home to the United States from Shanghai, China. Since that time, hundreds of children and hundreds of parents have become Gladney China families.

We have also dedicated ourselves to developing humanitarian programs for the children still living in orphanages. Please visit this section of our site to learn more about these efforts.
